UAE-based Bybit Resumes Full Access for Indian Users, Reinforces Commitment to Compliance and Crypto Inclusion
In a significant development, UAE-based cryptocurrency exchange giant, Bybit, has resumed full access for its app users in India on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. This move marks a crucial milestone in the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market, positioning itself as a key player in India’s evolving digital asset ecosystem.
Reinstatement of app access follows a measured process of regulatory adaptation by Bybit, confirming its alignment with India’s financial compliance frameworks. The company has announced that its website access is also being restored in phases and will be fully operational within three to four days.
Bybit had started aligning with Indian regulations in early 2025 by registering as a reporting entity under the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND). This move ensured that its operations comply with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols and reinforced security systems, Bybit has resumed services including Spot trading, Derivatives, Options, and Copy Trading for Indian users.
Bybit officially reinitiated operations in India on February 25, 2025, offering full access to trading functionality for verified users. The complete functionality of both app and website has now gone live following extensive consultations with Indian authorities.
